My course of study in college led me to a successful career in Marketing and Branding, yet I always maintained the interest in art and design that I fostered in childhood. While I enjoyed my work, I filled my free time with creative endeavors like painting, arranging flowers and doing interior design projects.
In 2006, I decided to leave the corporate world to do what I had always wanted to do — attend art school. I began by taking classes in drawing, painting and sculpting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and my experience there was deeply rewarding. With this foundation, I built a portfolio and gained acceptance into PAFA’s Certificate Program with a Merit Scholarship. Although I once thought of myself as a "corporate" person who wanted to become an artist, I now see myself as an artist who once worked in the corporate world.
I currently maintain a studio at Spring City Mills Studios in northern Chester County where I work mainly in oils because I love their vibrancy and durability. My work is currently available through Cerulean Arts Collective in Philadelphia, Station Gallery in Greenville, Delaware and Square Pear Fine Arts Gallery in Kennett Square, PA. This October, I will have a solo show at the Darlington Arts Center in Garnet Valley, PA. In 2019, I will have shows in Philadelphia at the Cosmopolitan Club in March and in one of the Cerulean Arts Collective Galleries in June. I was also selected to participate in the 46th Annual Academy of Notre Dame Fine Art Show this coming January.
I have previously shown my work in many juried shows and exhibitions in and around Philadelphia including PAFA, the Philadelphia Sketch Club, Beauty Gallery, Newman Galleries, the Palette and the Page, the BeaDazzled Gallery at the Wallingford Community Arts Center, The Wayne Art Center, the Chester County Art Association and the Delaware, Chester and Montgomery County Studio Tours.
In 2014, I pursued my love of design and flowers by earning a Certificate in Floral Design from Longwood Gardens.
