The demo, entitled “Painting the Color of the Light” will focus on ways to evaluate the light source to create a representational painting with a strong sense of light and atmosphere.  I’ll be starting with a grey-scale value study, talking about the “complexion” of the painting, doing a color mixing exercise using a limited palette to create the color key and then blocking in a still life.
